Kelly was raised and lived most of her life in the Eastern San Francisco Bay Area. She began reading new age literature about the time Doreen Virtue was reaching many with her book The Lightworker’s Way. She felt a kinship with the information in that book and thought about whether or not she could be a “lightworker”. As she explored this topic more and more her life began to change drastically. After raising two boys into adulthood, realizing her relationship was over, working at the same company since 1986 and not liking where her life decisions were taking her, it was time to do something different. She began to follow the calling of her heart.
This was August of 2002. Kelly began to take good care of her physical and mental self and realized that she could recreate her life into something new and much more beautiful. She then started working on her emotional and spiritual self as well as the physical and mental. She sat down and created a list of the things she wanted to accomplish before she left this world.
Her focus became creating opportunities to accomplish things on the list which included traveling to many fun places and finding more suitable work, perhaps in the realms of “lightwork”. Her first big travel adventure came in October of 2004 when she took a cruise to the Caribbean with a small group of people she’d never met. That was where she experienced her first direct encounter with energy healing; a Reiki attunement given over the open seas. From that point on her healing studies hit the fast track. She earned many certificates and realized she in fact was a lightworker here to do Spirit’s work in some capacity. She began to realize she was to open a spiritual center.
In 2007 she began teaching Reiki. Her classes were special because in addition to her students learning Reiki, they learned to develop and trust their innate intuitive abilities. She loved teaching and realized this was her future. In 2010 she left corporate America behind to pursue her grandest dreams. Finally in April of 2012, she married the man of her reams who shares a similar dream of opening a Spiritual Center.
Currently, Kelly is incorporating all her studies and experiences and working with Spirit to help create the Spiritual Center of her dreams within a new paradigm that is taking shape on this planet. A place where all life and caring for our environment is important; where the values of integrity and honesty are key; and where healing naturally includes working with the subtle energies of the body that are not commonly acknowledged today.
Kelly still loves to travel. She likes to cook, camp, backpack, hike and be outdoors in the garden. She’s traded the San Francisco Bay for Sarasota Bay in Florida where she is now living with her beloved partner and enjoys biking, swimming in the Gulf, and hanging out with dolphins.
